Roles and Responsibilities of Local Fund Agents
Local Fund Agents (LFAs) play a crucial role in overseeing Global Fund projects at the country level. They provide in-country oversight, utilize local expertise, and offer flexibility for key partners in Performance Based Funding. LFAs are selected through a competitive bidding process and have various roles during proposal development and grant implementation. Importantly, LFAs do not participate in program design but focus on monitoring, advising, and assisting stakeholders to ensure effective project implementation.
