Rosa Parks, born in 1913, stood up against segregation by refusing to give up her bus seat to a white person. This act sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott led by Martin Luther King Jr., leading to significant progress in the fight against racial discrimination. Parks' bravery and persistence made her a symbol of the Civil Rights Movement, inspiring generations to stand up for equality and justice. Despite facing challenges and being fired from her job, her legacy lives on as an icon of courage and activism.
