RHS Volleyball Culture It is our roadmap for success as individuals and as a team. It reflects how we behave while in the gym, in season, and in preparation for the season. Team First Competitive Excellence Pride Respect Personal Accountability
Support and adhere to RHS Volleyball culture. Be on-time and prepared for all events. Create a safe, supportive and trusting environment for all players. Coaches Policies and Expectations Be consistent in approach, emotions, messages, and effort. Focus on the success of the team and the development of all players, helping each individual and the team reach their potential. Set the tone for practice and matches. Require players to compete. Encourage taking risks and learning from mistakes. Communicate. Promote team cohesion. Connect with players. Facilitate team and individual goal setting and reporting. Be respectful to other coaches, referees, players and parents.
Support and adhere to RHS Volleyball Culture Maintain academic eligibility and abide by RHS Athletic code. Player Policies and Expectations Attend all team functions even if injured. Practices, games, diners, game night duties, etc. Be on-time and prepared. Be a caring, respectful, honest, and loyal teammate. This includes in gym, at school, at home, at social events, and on social media. No drama, gossip, bullying, hazing. Be 100% committed, coachable, and competitive. Support and value all roles on the team. No cell phones at practice or during matches. Meet / exceed your volunteer/fundraising requirements. Have and promote fun!
Playing Time and Team Movement Playing time is NOT guaranteed at any level. Players can and will be moved up or down across teams based on injuries, team needs, performance and attitude. Players may practice with one team but play at a different level. Player Policies and Expectations Conflict Resolution Players are encouraged to talk to program captains and/or their coaches to resolve issues. No discussions with parents regarding playing time. Meetings with coaches to discuss an issue must include player and parent. No emails related to conflicts/issues.
Parent Policies Parent Policies and and Expectations Expectations Support and adhere to RHS Volleyball Culture. Support your daughter in whatever role they have with the team and program. Allow coaches to coach. Respect coaches, players, officials, and other parents. No gossiping at home, in the stands, or at events. Volunteer and participate.
Trainer, Riley Grasser-Hemer, is available daily from 2:30-5:30, and available at home JV and Varsity games. Players need to advise coaches of any injuries. Injuries Injuries If an athlete goes to the doctor, we need a note from the doctor clearing them to play/practice. Players must practice day before a match. Players must attend all events even if injured. Riley s contact information is found on the RHS school website. Located under the athletics tab, then click on athletic trainer.

Facts RHS Volleyball budget does not cover the cost of running the basic program. Volleyball program budget is not related to or associated with RHS sports registration fees. Primary means of supporting the volleyball program is our Booster Club, who s mission is to improve the overall experience for players and parents and raise additional FUNDS necessary to run the RHS Volleyball program. All parents are welcome.

Focused on promoting our program in the community, developing the game of volleyball within the community, and player commitment. Players are required to participate in both volunteering and fundraising events. Uncompleted volunteer hours will roll to the next season. Sign-up for events on our website in the DIBS section. Completed event totals show in DIBS. Completed vs Needed by player is also posted on our website.
