District 1070 5 Year Strategy
The Plan Following extensive research with Clubs around the world, Rotary International adopted a new Vision Statement in June 2017; this was followed by the adoption of a new Strategic Plan in June 2018 based on this Statement. The preparation of the District Strategic Plan is based on the Rotary International model and mirrors the format and goals contained therein, with the purpose of continuity of vision from year to year The purpose of this presentation is to provide a visual high level plan of what the District would like to achieve in the next 5 years It is critical that the District to buys into this plan but also the clubs and their members. Without club support it won t happen. Club input is critical for this plan to work Therefore the plan, whilst being challenging, has to be realistic too Remember, this is not District telling clubs what to do, it is District inviting clubs on what will be a new and exciting journey that they can be a part of in their own way. It will need to become part of their thinking when planning their service projects and other activities and not an add-on or afterthought This plan does not say how to execute the plan, that is for clubs and district to decide
