  1. Rotary International District 5810 2020 Youth Protection policy Youth Protection Officer Youth Protection Officer District and Club Club and District By: Daniel Long Distrct Youth Protection Officer YPO

  2. ? What is YPO ? Funny that we call it Youth Protection But, our youth are a big part of the future of ROTARY. But, the truth is that we are looking at protecting any and every person that Rotary comes into contact with, including persons who may be at increased risk, such as young people, the elderly, and people with disibilities. ALL Rotary members & associates.

  3. ? What is a club YPO ? As each Rotary Club is run for a Rotary Year (1July to 30 June) by each and EVERY Rotary Club President he/she is the Club YPO - But - like so many of the other leaders in each Club. A member should be appointed as their Rotary Club's YPO. And please remember it is always a good rule to appoint a person that is NOT working with any of your youth groups and a person that knows about the Rotary Youth Policys or is willing to learn. Please post so that each Club member knows your YPO & how to contact them when the need should arise. Your first line of help is always your District Governor and/or your District YPO. As posted at: Rotary5810.org

  4. ? Who are we talking about ?

  14. harassment (either harris-meant or huh-rass-meant) n. the act of systematic and/or continued unwanted and annoying actions of one party or a group, including threats and demands. The purposes may vary, including racial prejudice, personal malice, an attempt to force someone to quit a job or grant sexual favors, apply illegal pressure to collect a bill, or merely gain sadistic pleasure from making someone fearful or anxious. Such activities may be the basis for a lawsuit if due to discrimination based on race or sex, a violation on the statutory limitations on collection agencies, involve revenge by an ex-spouse, or be shown to be a form of blackmail ("I'll stop bothering you, if you'll go to bed with me"). The victim may file a petition for a "stay away" (restraining) order, intended to prevent contact by the offensive party. A systematic pattern of harassment by an employee against another worker may subject the employer to a lawsuit for failure to protect the worker.

  15. TYPES of Herassment Verbal - name-calling, whistling, dirty jokes, obscene phone calls, comments about people's bodies, innuendos, threats, or pressure to go on a date or to do more than that. Written - explicit letters, notes, graffiti, Visual - explicit cartoons, photos, offensive t-shirts, licking one's lips, grabbing one's own crotch, etc. Physical - grabbing, pinching, groping, bumping, or giving unwanted hugs and kisses.
