IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A QURAN IN FRONT OF YOU. WATCH THE VIDEO, TAKE NOTES, PAUSE AND REPEAT AFTER THE TEACHER:
Madd means extension and elongation. There are two types of madd: 1.ORIGINAL MADD 2-SECONDARY MADD
Original madd is also called Natural madd , Permanent Madd , Existing Madd. It s duration is 2 counts. There are 4 types of natural madd MADD IWAD Natural Madd in Letters(Madd Tabii) The Lesser Connecting Madd Madd of Compensation. Madd al badal
2-MADD IWAD(MADD OF COMPENSATION) It is compensated by an alif when one pauses on it. Some more examples are:
3-Madd Tabii(madd pertaining to abbreviated letters): Occurs in the abbreviated letters which come in the opening of some surahs.
TASK: OPEN THE QURAN ON SURAH AL FATH THEN APPLY THE RULES OF MADD. Send a video of your recitation and application to Mrs. AL Bashir.
