Safety is a Shared Responsibility Employees with Specific Safety Duties: Executive Leadership Director of Facilities and Operations Safety Officer Groups that Address Safety Issues: Safety Committee Risk Advisory Team All Employees
Safety Training for Employees and Students Lockdown, Shelter in Place, and Evacuation Drills Incident Command System (ICS) Training Cabinet and Others Launch Week Safety Procedures Training/First Aid Building Lockdown Drills Completed by October 27 Identified Issues Addressed by Mid-November Campus Lockdown Drills (Both Campuses) Winter Quarter Tabletop Exercises and Practice with Tools (Radios, RAVE, Etc.) Ongoing
Security Patrols 24/7 Security Patrols in Wenatchee Two Guards - Weekdays 8 am to 4 pm and Special Events Evening Patrol in Omak Unarmed Guards by WAC Only Universities can Create a Police Force Cooperation With First Responders in Both Communities Covered Later in Presentation
Safety Resources Building Lockdown Systems Security Guards and Other Key Personnel Emergency Text and Email Notifications RAVE Safety Video and Safety Information on Website Posters and Placards with Emergency Contact Information Classrooms, Public Areas, Kiosks
Safety Resources ePanic Alert Software Frontline Employees 911 Calls Notifications and Follow Up Security Cameras Emergency Paging System Using Phones as Speakers in Offices, Classrooms, wherever Phones are Located Rolls Through Buildings Social Media Monitoring Service (Meltwater) Community Relations Monitors, also Student Government
