ACCJC (2024) Standard 1: Institutional Mission and Effectiveness The Board presentation on SRJC s Indicators of Effective Outcomes supports the following ACCJC Accreditation Standard: 1.5. The institution regularly communicates progress toward achieving its mission and goals with internal and external stakeholders in order to promote understanding of institutional strengths, priorities, and areas for continued improvement.
Board of Trustees Accreditation (Federal): ACCJC Institutional Set Standards Santa Rosa Junior College (Local): Indicators of Effective Outcomes The Chancellor s Office (State): Vision 2030 Metrics in this category are critical in supporting federal accreditation which support our ability to provide students with Federal Student Aid, allows us to apply for Federal Grants (e.g., Hispanic- Serving Institutions), and Career Education funding (Perkins). Metrics in this category are critical in supporting state education goals and advocacy. Vision 2030 aligns with the Governor s Roadmap. State metrics are used to determine some state grant programs (e.g., Native American Students, Rising Scholars, Student Equity and Achievement, Strong Workforce). Metrics in this category are critical in supporting the annual evaluation and analysis of SRJC s effectiveness. The Indicators of Effective Outcomes allows the Board of Trustees to have data that connects our community to State and Federal metrics. Additionally, Board of Trustees can use local data to inform advocacy strategies.

Indicators of Effective Outcomes: Analysis Completed Transfer-Level Mathematics & English SRJC has less than 30% of new students who are taking mathematics in their first year. In comparison, nearly 60% of new students are taking English in their first year. There needs to be an increase in the number of new students taking mathematics in their first year in order for us to achieve our goal. Persistence: First Primary Term to Second Primary Term Students enrolled in at least 12 (full time) units have a persistence rate of 80%. Students enrolled in less than 12 units (part time) have a persistence rate of 40%. Recommend evaluating the impact of established IEOs and provide separate datasets for part time and full time students.
