  2. The Sava Lake is artificial lake, reservoir near the center of Belgrade Created in 1967 from the right arm of the River Sava with the building of two dams near the northern and southern tips of the small river island Ada Ciganlija

  3. Lakeshore forest mainly of: willow (Salix alba L.) white poplar (Populus alba L.) common oak (Quercusrobur L.)

  4. The Savsko jezero Lake N 4447 02.28, E 2023 25.64 Reservoir is about 4.2 km long and widest part of the lake is 200 m, average depth is 4.5 m (4-6 m) and maximum recorded depth is 12 m. Covers area of 0.8 km2 One of the lowest areas of Belgrade - 78 m a.s.l

  5. Water temperature ranges from 28C during summer to frozen surfaces winter Water transparency from extraordinary transparent in spring (4 - 7 m) drops in July to 1.2 - 0.8 m Alkaline water (pH 8.2 to 8.72)

  6. Well developed zone of submerged plants, dominant Myriophyllum spicatum L.

  7. Shoreline is gritty (artificially created beach) Bottom is muddy - sandy, muddy and clay

  8. Main body of the lake is connected to the smaller body of water on the southwest ( Talo nik ) Artificial flow of water through the lake

  9. Recreational and tourism activities, also having significant role in water supply Highly exposed to multiple stressors, during the summer season more than 100,000 people per day visit the reservoir.
