Savannah Arts Academy
Arts Areas Band Orchestra Piano Vocal Dance Theater Film Visual Art ** Students can audition for one ONE art area. This will become the track you follow for your four years at SAA.
Application Process Applications will open on January 22, 2022 and close on February 4, 2022 If you are a SCCPSS student, there is no need to attach any document at this time If you are NOT an SCCPSS student, please attach report cards for all of the last school year and the first semester of this school year, as well as the latest standardized test taken (Ex. MAP, PSAT, SAT) Test scores will be used to guide the process but are NOT the determining factor. If academic criteria is met, an email will be sent with the audition time.
Application process continued If auditioning for film or visual art, you will receive a link on February 4 to post your film or art portfolio. Please be patient with this process - each link will be sent out on February 4 and all materials MUST be attached by February 11, 11:59pm. You will be contacted if your document cannot be opened. The lottery will be run on March 4 Parents will be notified of an available seat on March 9 after 4pm If you are offered a seat, please register by March 25. If you do not register, students on the waitlist will be offered the seat. Student on the waitlist will began to be notified on April 4 NOT ALL STUDENTS ON THE WAITLIST WILL BE OFFERED A SEAT
Registration for classes If you are offered a seat AND register by March 25: The counseling department will begin course registration April 4 in the evenings. You will be sent a Zoom link and a Google form with course offerings for your grade level and art area. Course selections ARE based on previous courses taken by the student in which they received credit.
