Original Proposal Savannah Serves Program Red Team 40-50 ambassadors: 3 shifts Blue Team Green Team 15 staff members: 2 shifts 30 officers with flexible scheduling Responsible for maintenance, development, planning of beautification elements and the content improvement of the area aesthetic Responsible for disseminating information and providing assistance Responsible for official law enforcement and compliance Primary role: visibility and crime prevention Provide hospitality and enhance visitor experience Will also receive Red Team training Will also receive Red Team training Eyes and ears for tourism office and Savannah Chatham Metro City Manager s Office
New Proposal Savannah Serves Program Red Team Blue Team Green Team $317,000 (13% of forecast revenue) 12 ambassadors (24% of forecasted revenue) $1.5 Million for start-up services, including equipment (60% of forecasted revenue) Funded in Fiscal Year 2017 Responsible for maintenance, development, planning of beautification elements and the content improvement of the area aesthetic Responsible for official law enforcement and compliance Responsible for disseminating information and providing assistance Primary role: visibility and crime prevention Will also receive Red Team training Provide hospitality and enhance visitor experience Will also receive Red Team training Eyes and ears for tourism office and Savannah Chatham Metro *Revenue Staff $90,000 City Manager s Office

$1.5 million to SCMPD for phase 1 public safety implementation Evaluate revenue collection to determine if we are on/above/below projections Sep/Oct 2017 If projections are met, begin implementation of Green Team Nov 2017 Move existing Ambassadors to this fund to reevaluate collections Dec 2017 Based on Revenue projections, increase public safety and (2) additional Revenue officers. Jan 2018 Add remaining Green Team staff and equipment Feb 2018 City Manager s Office
Program Oversight Savannah Serves Commission City of Savannah - The City of Savannah will oversee day-to-day operations and management of the Savannah Serves Recommend standards, address concerns and guide direction of program s projects and initiatives subject to the approval of the City Manager and Mayor & City Council. The board will be composed of representatives and stakeholders to include: - Each department will be responsible for oversight within their area of expertise, including financial collection and oversight.
