Importance of Scheme Monitoring Tool (SMT) Jal Jeevan Mission is a time bound flagship scheme aims to provide safe drinking water to every rural households with adequate quantity of prescribed quality on a regular and long term basis by 2024. Approximately 25,000 nos of Pipe Water Supply Scheme (PWSS) to be constructed to achieve the goal. Tracking and monitoring of each schemes from the preparation of Detailed Project Report (DPR) to till handing over to the community is crucial in the mission. To simplify the daily tracking of each schemes digital intervention is required. SMT was developed to simplify the daily hazards.   5. Scheme Monitoring Tool (SMT) The Scheme Monitoring Tool (SMT) is developed with an objective to have a centralized system to monitor the various activities executed under selected schemes. The tool has the provision to monitor & evaluate the performance of each & every selected scheme including the physical and financial progress. DPR preparation, Administrative Approval, Technical Sanction, Work Order Allotment and other subsequent activities are all tracked in a phased manner. 2
