  1. SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS November 3rd, 2024

CANDIDATE Must be on the electors list of English School Board Has been domiciled for at least 6 months on its territory Must have paid previous election debts Can not be an MNA, MP or a Justice of any court of justice Can not be an employee of an English School Board Can not be public servant of MELS or MEES Can not be sentenced to imprisonment Can not run for more than one School Board nor ward

  3. ON A TICKET Between September 24thand 5:00 pm, September 29ththe leader transmits a written application for recognition of: the name of the ticket the address of persons intended for the ticket to receive communications the name, address, and phone number of the leader The ticket will not be recognized if the name includes the word independent The nomination paper of a candidate shall state he is with the ticket and be accompanied with a letter signed by the leader certifying he is the official candidate for that ward/seat/electoral division

ALL CANDIDATES For School Board Commissioner Must file nomination paper between September 24thand 5:00 pm September 29 Must include your name, date of birth and your address and indicate the ward for which you wish to be the candidate (proof of identity) Returning officer makes and keeps a copy of the driver s licence or medicare card Must be signed by the candidate and must be supported by at least 10 electors of that ward with their names, addresses and signatures who have signed in his presence Provide a text (basic info for the voter), picture, address and number where voters can reach you School Board staff may sign supporting papers but are not allowed to work on any campaign

  5. CANDIDATE FOR CHAIR OF THE SCHOOL BOARD Same instructions as for a Candidate Except, nomination paper must be accompanied by at least 50 supporting electors living on the board s territory After 5:00 pm Sunday, September 29th: If only one candidate is nominated for a specified ward, that candidate is acclaimed If only one candidate is nominated for chair of the School Board, that person is acclaimed Otherwise, there will be elections with Revisions beginning October 5th
