GOALS FOR STUDENTS COUNSELING GOALS: Recognize and access resources to explore goals (personal, academic, career) Understand how current choices impact your future Understand the importance of balancing academic, extra-curricular and personal responsibilities Identify personal strengths, values, challenges and boundaries 2
GET INVOLVED! Consistency with your activities is great! Leadership experience is positive and something to move toward Activities we do can sometimes lead us on a path to career- we should aim to do what we enjoy 3

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY Do your best! What does it take to be eligible for colleges? Self-Advocacy Coping Skills If you currently have a D or F, get help. After school tutoring, tutorial, etc. No summer school repeat of class. Understanding your challenges and knowing where & how to get help self-advocacy. Drugs/Alcohol Learn your resources: who can help you on campus Attendance Balance Digital & Real Life 5
SCHOOL SPIRIT & CALM Get Well: Familiarize yourself with our Wellness Center & personnel Do Homework Here Homework Club: dates/times TBA Mindfulness: Use the Calm or Headspace apps to stay centered and Zen Join a Club! Club list on website Catch the High School Spirit! Attend an Athletic event, Music or Drama Performance Virtual or Live! COLLEGE & CAREER College & Career Center open to all grade levels, college visits our internship liaison, general information on hundreds of schools in the center Internships are typically junior year and are highly recommended Naviance is a tool that can help you start exploring careers, majors, colleges Lisa Neumaier is the person to see.
