Data Analysis - Feb 25 Full School October Attainment and Progress -Oct 24- Feb 25 School year 24-25
Glossary of terms Attainment Attainment is the total MAPP score or SS/OA Framework score for each outcome or objective at the Feb 25 assessment point. Progress Progress is the difference between the MAPP/Framework score at the Oct 24 assessment point and the Feb 25 assessment point. MAPP MAPP (Mapping and Assessing Personal Progress) is an assessment tool which has been developed to show small steps of progress and provides personalised comparative data over time for each individual. This allows us to compare data with the students own past progress. MAPP looks at four different areas Independence, Fluency, Maintenance and Generalisation and the areas are assessed from 1 to 10. Small Steps Small Steps is our bespoke Framework for English and Maths, this is used with our formal/Semi-formal learners from Y7 to Y10 where appropriate. Open Awards We use the Open Awards Frameworks for English and Maths with our formal/semi formal learners from Y10-Y14 where appropriate. Outcomes This refers to each students individual EHCP Outcomes.
Headlines/ Summary EHCP Outcomes using MAPP Improved whole school progress from Feb 24. Slight decreased whole school attainment from Feb 24. AON Progress- In Feb 25 C&L made the most progress. In Feb 25 Sensory has made the least progress. All results are significantly improved from Feb 24. AON Attainment- In Feb 25 C&L made the most progress. In Feb 25 P&M and SEMH made less progress. Attainment AON results are similar to Feb 24. AOP Progress- Improved AOP Progress scores from Feb 24 MOZ, MLD, Satellites, Enhanced made the most progress PMLD/CN & ASC have made less progress AOP Attainment- Results are lower than Feb 24. MOZ has higher attainment than the other areas. All other areas similar. PP Progress- Improved PP progress from Feb 24. PP have made 8% less progress in 16 steps +
Headlines/ Summary Small Steps and Open Awards OA Progress- Identical progress for maths and English SS Progress- Maths and English is very similar. 2% difference. SS Attainment- English Feb 25 is similar to Feb 24. SS English- Reading 4% less than 2024. Lower by 5-6% than other areas. Not significant- monitor though. SS Attainment scores are similar to 2024. SS Maths- As usual, Data has slightly less progress than other areas of maths but not significant. SS has greater progress than OA.
Review of actions from last term (Oct 24): Monitor whole school attainment next term- this has improved Monitor AOP Attainment for greater consistency- the gap has narrowed. MOZ still greater improvement than other AOP. Check classes with OA are completing them consistently shared information with staff. Staff were quicker to complete this term. Ask the maths lead to send out information on data and get SS teachers to share ideas in moderation for teaching data handling. Just agreed a maths lead. Will send this action to them. MLD/ SLD PFA is weaker and needs intervention. Could be due to aut term and less trips to practise skills? This has greatly improved. No loss of staffing so trips and planned PfA sessions have been able to take place PMLD/CN requires a deep dive into P&M and Sensory- Staff have been working on this since last moderation and the results have improved greatly.
Actions Ensure SS and OA make similar progress within the next year Share information with maths lead so data can be a focus. Move sensory needs to communication or physical and medical VI/HI during next academic year as sensory no longer a discreet area Monitor P&M and SEMH results next term Measure whether appointing leads for curriculums, subject leads, creating scruffy targets has any impact on results; particularly the informal curriculum. Query- Disregard hydro outcomes from results if the pool is out of action for long periods? Narrow the 8% gap between PP and non-PP students by looking at PP student populations and suitable interventions.
