School Games Mark 2021/22 School Games Mark 2021/22 How to guide.
What is the School Games Mark? What is the School Games Mark? The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress. Application window is Wednesday 04 May to Wednesday 27 July 2022. The questionnaire takes around 15 minutes to complete. It is much more simplistic this year than the previous SGM.
What do I need? What do I need? Before you start the application: make sure you have a log in to the School Games website (if not/ you need it reset, email me) know how many students you have on roll in Year 3-6 for Primary, Year 7-13 for Secondary and Sixth Form if you have one. have done your inclusive health check (instructions for how to do this attached to the email).
How do I complete it? How do I complete it? Log in to your school dashboard at www.yourschoolgames.com Scroll down the page until you see this section: Click start the questionnaire and answers the questions most are yes/no or multiple choice. Save your progress if you can t complete it in one go When you have finished submit it Once you submit it, it will be sent to your SGO to verify it. We can agree or upgrade your award level.
Achieving Platinum Achieving Platinum Schools are asked to select one of the following areas for their case study. They can make their submission in a number of ways, e.g. a narrative written by a third party, a written case study, a video case study, a submission led by young people etc. The options are shown below: Demonstrate how you are engaging those young people that need it the most in the School Games and evidence how you know they are benefiting. Demonstrate how you are a physically literate school and how this positively impacts on your young people. Demonstrate how you are developing and co-creating your offer with your young people. Demonstrate your understanding of young people s motivations and how you build this into your offer. Demonstrate how you have embedded positive experiences of competition into your offer and how this has made a difference to your uptake. Demonstrate how have you ensured that you have developed and maintained 60 active minutes across your school.
