  1. STEAD ES 2019-2020 PERFORMANCE DATA UNDERSTANDING OUR SCHOOL STAR RATING

  2. NEVADA SCHOOL PERFORMANCE FRAMEWORK Schools receive points based on student performance across various indicators and measures these include the following: Academic Achievement English Language Proficiency Student Engagement (attendance) Growth Closing Opportunity Gaps

  3. HOW IS THE STAR RATING DETERMINED? Points are totaled and divided by the points possible to generate an index score from 1- 100. Index scores are associated with a one- to five-star rating as follows: Below 27 = 1 STAR At/above 27, less than 50 = 2 STARS At/above 50, less than 67 = 3 STARS At/above 67, less than 84 = 4 STARS At/above 84 = 5 STARS

  4. STEAD 2019-20 SCHOOL RATING Index Score = 34.5 Rating = 2 STAR

  5. COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT & IMPROVEMENT (CSI) DESIGNATION Stead was designated as a CSI school in 2017-18 2019-2020 Stead data reflect continued CSI status

  6. HOW ARE SCHOOLS IDENTIFIED AS CSI? At or below performance of lowest 5thpercentile of Title I school performance. AND One Star Schools

STEADS 2019-20 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN GOAL # 1 Reading: Spring MAP reading cohort % at or above average for 1-6 will increase by 10% in each grade (1st from 40% to 50%; 2nd from 47% to57%; 3rd from 51% to 61%; 4th from 42% to 52%; 5th from 44% to 54%; and 6th Winter data from 54% to 64%). Increased in 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6thgrades, but not in 3rdor 4thgrades.

STEADS 2018-19 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN GOAL # 2 Math: Spring MAP math cohort % at or above average for K~1-6 will increase by 10% in each grade (1st from 44% to 54%; 2nd from 45% to 55%; 3rd from 39% to 49%; 4th from 34% to 44%; 5th from 36% to 46%; and 6th Winter MAP from 33% to 43%).2018-19 student SEL factors in the Annual Student Climate Survey = average of 71% GOAL NOT MET, but increase in 3% Increased in 3rdand 6thgrades, but not in the others.

  9. STEADS 2018-19 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN GOAL # 3 MTSS: Currently, 10% of the students who enter our MTSS process exit. Stead ES will exit 20% or 12 students from the MTSS process by the end of June 2019. Goal Met we were able to exit 59 students and exceeded our goal

PROGRESS ON SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN GOALS Possible Barriers to Improvement in Pooled Proficiency Need for aligned practices across grade levels to ensure a guaranteed & viable curriculum Lack of time for teacher professional collaboration Need for more purposeful and intentional focus on student learning to drive all practices across school community and measured by common formative assessments

  11. 2020-2021 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE PLAN GOALS Professional Development Priority focus on a.) Professional Learning Communities & b.) new ELA curriculum (Benchmark Advanced) for grades K-5 Family Engagement More intentional partnership with Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to support academic needs in school community; move towards student-led conferences & offering relevant Parent University courses Curriculum & Instruction Increase rigor to support higher levels of proficiency and growth in both ELA & Math (accomplish this through more structured approach to PLC process & implementation of ELA curriculum with fidelity)
