In In- -Person Learners Person Learners Students who come to school to learn in the classroom with their teacher and some classmates In-person learners should come to school daily as long as they are healthy In-person learners must wear their school uniform each day In-Person learners will practice on their borrowed school device which can be taken home daily

  4. Distance Learners Distance Learners Students who learn at home while their teacher is teaching from Microsoft Teams Distance learners are expected to login (on Teams) each day Distance learners will use their borrowed device to participate in their lessons each day Distance learners must get dressed each day for school (no pajamas) Distance learners should not eat, nap, or play with toys while on Teams for school

Students will enter the building through entrances as follows: Arrival to Arrival to School School Grades 5 Grades 5- -8: 7:50 7:50 am; am; Grades PK Grades PK- - 4: 4: 8:30 8:30 am PK- PE Doors Kindergarten East Entrance Grade 1 & 2 Main Entrance 8: Grade 3 East Entrance Grade 4 West Entrance Grade 5 East Entrance Grade 6 West Entrance Grade 7 Cafeteria Side Entrance Grade 8 Playground Entrance am Busses are dismissed one at a time and students will report to their designated entrance. Tardy students must report to the main office table for a late pass.

Lunch at School Lunch at School All students eat lunch in the classroom Cafeteria staff deliver lunches to the classroom This allows students to have no interactions with other cohorts of students Eating in the classroom also prevents large gatherings of students in one place Students clean and disinfect their hands before and after eating lunch If your child eats a lunch from home, he or she should come to school with their lunch

Dismissal from Dismissal from School School Grades 5 Grades 5- -8: 1:50 pm; 1:50 pm; Grades PK Grades PK- - 4: 4: 2:30 2:30 pm Middle School Busses will be called over the intercom as busses arrive and students will exit through designated exits Middle School Walkers/Pick Ups will be dismissed in their cohort through their designated exit Elementary bus students will be escorted to their bus by school staff PK-4 Students will dismiss with their homeroom teacher 8: pm

Each student virtually present in class will be marked VP in PowerSchool to indicate virtual presence Each student physically present in class will be marked PRESENT in PowerSchool Attendance Attendance Parents and guardians of in- person and distance learners should maintain ongoing communication with their child's teacher Students not physically present or virtually present for school will be marked ABSENT

Attendance Attendance A student s absence from school will be marked EXCUSED if written documentation is submitted within 10 school days of the student s return to school Must meet the following criteria: 1st 9th absences, are considered excused when the student s parent/guardian approves such absence and submits appropriate documentation For the 10th absence or higher: a student s absences from school are considered excused for the following reasons: Illness (with note from Dr.) Observance of a religious holiday, Death in the family or other family emergency (must be approved by administrator)

In-person learners who become ill during the school day will be sent to the school nurse s office Nurse Migdalia Muniz will assess the student based symptoms School Nurse School Nurse Migdalia Migdalia Muniz Muniz The parents or guardian will be contacted if necessary ~ parent or guardian may be encouraged to contact the pediatrician Any student with a fever of 100.4 or higher must be picked up from school by a parent/guardian SOUTHWEST COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER obtain an application from the main office (full school-based health center)
