Welcome! We are looking forward to a positive and productive year and are here to provide help to our Oak Park students and families with social emotional needs. This school year brings us many changes that forces us to adapt to meet our new demands. As a school and community, we can come together and help one another.

Social Worker services School social worker support students with personal, behavioral, and psychological situations that adversely affect school performance, behavior and socialization. Assess the function of student s behavior, make recommendations for building-based Behavior Intervention Plans. Collaborate with community agencies to help students cope with economic, behavioral, emotional, physical, or academic challenges. Support crisis preparedness, response and recovery. Provide mandated IEP school-based counseling. Provide consultations and referral to appropriateoutside services. Conduct mental health interventions. Provide support and connect McKinney-Vento students toservices.

The program is available to Suffolk residents who struggle with mental health and substance use disorders.
