  2. Processing Household Applications for SY 2021-2022 NSLP: Standard application process required. SSO: Applications may be processed only if used to determine: Carryover eligibility, and/or P-EBT eligibility Application processing is an allowable cost if used to determine carryover or P-EBT eligibility.

  3. SSO Processing Household Applications for P-EBT If a household requests an application as a means to qualify for P-EBT: Schools must: Provide and process the application Notify the household of the application result Conduct verification on any processed applications Schools do not have to: Distribute applications and letters to all households Submit a media release

  4. SSO Processing Household Applications for Carryover When being used for establishing carryover schools MUST adhere to the standard application process, including: Distribution of applications and letters to all households Media release Notification of eligibility determination Verification

  5. Additional Application Resources FAQs Program Specific Templates Household letters Template for media release Notification of eligibility Incentives Flyer? Other possible benefits to completing the household application. Only a concept now, additional research necessary.

  6. Establishing Data Outside of CN Programs The household application may not be utilized solely for establishing socioeconomic data outside of the federal child nutrition programs. Schools that are not processing household applications for a child nutrition purpose may use a socioeconomic form. Socioeconomic forms may not be processed by child nutrition staff that are funded by federal nutrition funds.
