Season 2016/2017 League Format

Format: Sections will be changed from (A, B, C1, C2 and D) to (A, B, C, D and E) Preliminary matches will all be eliminated. Sections D and E will not participate in the Group Phase but will be established by means of promotions and relegations. Teams presently in Sections A, B and C1 (less two teams relegated) + 2 teams promoted from C2 will be seeded and drawn in 8 groups of 3 teams each and will play on 2 rounds in the Group Phase Two teams from Sec C1 will be relegated to play in Section D All Sections will consist of 8 teams and will play 2 rounds (based on the participation of only 8 teams in section E otherwise we would need to consider going back to 1 round if more teams are involved as this would involve too many matches. All teams will participate in the K.O. but the first round will consist only of teams from Section D and E. The second round will be an open draw were teams from any section could face each other.
