GBVIMS+ enables effective management of cases and incidents related to gender-based violence. It provides a structured approach for recording and handling individual cases over time, as well as tracking and responding to individual acts of violence reported by survivors. The system includes features for creating new cases, navigating through forms, managing data fields, and recording essential information such as survivor details and case ownership. With a user-friendly interface, GBVIMS+ streamlines the process of case management and incident tracking in a comprehensive and organized manner.

SECTIONS: CASES AND INCIDENTS SECTIONS: CASES AND INCIDENTS GBVIMS+ allows for incident recording and managing cases over time Cases are individual cases for case management Incidents are an individual act of violence as reported by survivors
GBVIMS+ FORMS NAVIGATING GBVIMS+ FORMS Forms in GBVIMS+ are just like paper-based forms Forms hold the information entered in the system
NAVIGATING GBVIMS+ FORMS Once you are entering data, you will see a left panel navigation list. This is how you can navigate through the forms. The titles in the left navigation list are called Form Groups.
NAVIGATING GBVIMS+ FORMS Sub-Forms Some forms have sub-forms. To navigate these sub-forms, there is an expand/collapse function, and add or remove functions.
DATA FIELDS Forms are made up of data fields. A data field is information within a form. Fields include examples like name, age, date of birth. Text Text Area Date Check Boxes Tick Box

GBVIMS+ FORMS: CASES NAVIGATING GBVIMS+ FORMS Creating a New Case Start by clicking new case from the cases section, the system will open a page for you to enter information.
CASE: FORM GROUPS 1 2 When creating a NEW CASE you can enter information about the survivor in the cases module. There are 9 case management forms. 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
CASE: RECORD OWNER It includes information about the current owner of the case meaning who is responsible for the case. It also includes information about any previous owners of the case.
CASE: CONSENT FOR SERVICES This includes information about the survivor s consent for services.
CASE: SURVIVOR INFORMATION Must leave survivor code on this form. This contains basic information about the survivor: Case status Name (and option to hide name) Survivor code (only link to incident module) Age, Date of Birth Sex Country of Origin, Nationality Religion Civil/Marital Status Dependent Information Occupation Displacement Status at Time of Report Person with Disabilities Unaccompanied, Separated Child
CASE: SURVIVOR ASSESSMENT Survivor Profile What is the survivor's age? Her family situation: Does she have a husband (if the husband is not the perpetrator, does he know about what happened to her)? Does she have children? Does the survivor have other relatives that are present in her life? Her current living situation. Does the survivor have a place to live? Where? Who lives in the house with her? Her occupation or role in the community. Does she work or have a job? Does she have some other role in the community? Explain what happened to the survivor What has happened to her? It is crucial to find out if physical force and weapons were used, whether there is any severe pain (especially head injuries) or bleeding, and whether there was vaginal/anal penetration. Immediate medical care and treatment is highly indicated in these circumstances. Who the perpetrator is and whether he can access the survivor? Whether or not she has sought help previously and/or already received care and treatment? When the incident took place (date/time). The date/time of the incident is essential to assessing the urgency of a medical referral and for accurately informing the survivor and caregiver about medical options. Depending on when the last incident took place, different medical treatments are available. How frequently has she experienced violence like this incident? Explain the survivor s main concerns What does the survivor identify that she wants help with?
CASE: ACTION PLAN This is where you document the survivor s action plan. Describe the action plan to address this need Type of Need Did you refer the client for this service? Appointment Date, Time, Service Provider, Service Location Notes
CASE: ACTION PLAN FOLLOW-UP This is where you document any follow-up visits. CASE: CONSENT FOR REFERRALS This form cannot be removed or deleted. It includes information about who the survivor consented to share referral information with.

EXPORT CASE PDF Need to have a paper copy for your files? 1. Click Actions. 2. Click Export Case PDF. 3. Print and file the document.
In the case management module: You can: Refer a case i.e. refer a survivor to another staff member and/or Transfer a case i.e. transfer the case service to another staff member

NAVIGATING GBVIMS+ GBVIMS+ FORMS: INCIDENT Creating an Incident from a New Case Once a case is created, you can then create an incident that is linked to that case. In the Anchored Header, there is a Create Incident button that is available to click once you have saved the case.

INCIDENT: TYPE OF VIOLENCE Information about the act of violence including: Type of Violence (classification tool) Harmful Traditional Practice Money, Goods, Benefits exchanged Type of Abduction Reported the Incident anywhere else Prior GBV Experience
INCIDENT: GBV INDIVIDUAL DETAILS General information about the survivor including: Survivor Code Sex Date of Birth Age (estimate?) If contextually relevant: ethnicity, nationality, religion Country of Origin Marital Status Disability Type UAM, SC or Other Vulnerable Child
INCIDENT: ALLEGED PERPETRATOR General information about the alleged perpetrator including: Primary Perpetrator? Sex Past GBV by same Perpetrator If contextually relevant: nationality, ethnicity Age Group Relationship to Survivor Main Occupation NEW: Can add information on multiple perpetrators. The first entry should be the primary perpetrator.
