  2. Mission The mission of the Sedgwick County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) shall be to fulfill the requirements of the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act of 1986, commonly known as SARA Title III. In addition, the LEPC shall be an all-hazards planning committee to include: information sharing, community planning, exercise design/implementation, the critique of emergency incidents real or exercised, other activities aimed at efficient, compassionate, and rapid response to disaster survivors , care- givers , and workers needs in times of disasters.

  5. Old Business 2021 HMEP Grant Update In process with provisions for training due to limited available funds this grant cycle Needing to know what training (paid) is requested from all first responders to include 9-1-1, Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, etc. Recommendations?

  9. New Business HMEP GRANT 2021 $100,000 requested Training classes requested Full Scale Exercise 2021 Stressing the full spectrum of participants Gaining insights to communication failures and problems with Pandemic Tier II Education Shelter in Place Article in Splurge Magazine

  10. SCEM Changes Open position for Planner Julie Stimson and Jon Marr will be acting Liaisons for the LEPC

CAP (community awareness program) 501 c 3 Not for Profit Vision Statement To have a community in which all members are well prepared for and trained to adjust to any disaster or emergency situation. Mission Statement CAP is committed to actively providing education and resources to the community it serves through sustainable development and social responsibility to do good for all. Support for resources that can not be covered with the HMEP grant
