SEIVB Mission & Goals Offer a developmental volleyball club for girls in SEI to improve their level of play, understanding, and interest in volleyball Teach and develop skills through instructional training & competition Develop understanding of the game in the areas of offense, defense, rules, knowledge, & sportsmanship Encourage interaction of athletes from local schools & promote positive attitudes in and out of the club season

Last Season 175 girls 18 teams (ages 11-18) 20+ coaches Over 90 tournaments attended Indianapolis, Columbus, Cincinnati, Louisville, Ft. Wayne, etc Girls represented local middle & high schools Batesville, East Central, Franklin County, South Ripley, Greensburg, Rushville, Oldenburg Academy, Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, etc.

Registration Process Online Registration 4 Step Registration Process #1 Create an Account on SEIVB website (if created an account last year, you can skip this step) #2 Register online with USAV #3 Download, Save & Complete USAV Medical Release #4 Register online with SEIVB

Registration Items USAV Online Registration All players & coaches must have current, active membership Region: Hoosier Club: Southeastern IN Volleyball, Inc (SEIVB) Must pay $55 membership fee online before submitting registration (Do not select Junior Tryout membership). 11U players (based on age on July 1, 2024) will be directed to select a different option Bring confirmation email titled Welcome to USA Volleyball with you to tryouts as proof of paid membership for insurance purposes. This email includes your USAV Member number at the bottom

Registration Items USAV Online Registration Returning players will receive an email from SportsEngine/SEIVB requesting membership BEFORE registering. This will replace the USAV Registration step online. This email will go out when registration is live. New players will get a Club Assignment Request email after registration is complete. You MUST accept it in order to play in our club.

Registration Items Select Sign In and then fill out information that follows. If you do not have an account, you will have to create one on the next page by clicking CREATE ACCOUNT

USAV Membership Once logged into SportsEngine, go to this website: https://memberships.sportse ngine.com/org/hoosier- region-volleyball/who You should get to the screen to the right If you see your child listed from a previous season, click that child s name If you don t see your child listed, click ADD A CHILD

USAV Membership Fill out the information about your child First Name Preferred Name if applicable Last Name Gender Date of Birth Double check the date of birth as this is critical information THE YEAR IS THE MOST COMMON ERROR ON THESE REGISTRATIONS AND COULD CAUSE YOUR CHILD TO BE PLACED ON A TEAM THEY ARE INELIGIBLE FOR Click NEXT

USAV Membership Select Season on the next screen & click NEXT The available options based on age should show up. Select the correct one (Junior Player) then click NEXT

USAV Membership Fill out the required information & click NEXT Read through the Code of Conduct and select I have read and agree to the USAV Code of Conduct then click SUBMIT.

USAV Membership Read through the Use Agreement & Release of Liability and select I have read and agree to the USA Volleyball Use Agreement & Release of Liability then click SUBMIT.

USAV Membership Review your membership on the next page. It will show you the cost (total is $55) If everything is correct, scroll to the bottom and click CONTINUE TO PAYMENT

Registration Reminders Registration is 100% paperless/online Must be completed by 11:59pm on October 28 No late registrations will be accepted All payments must be made online by the October 28 deadline (for Elite tryouts, it is just half up front) Parents/guardians may come in for registration purposes but cannot stay for tryouts USAV medical release must be completed and uploaded as part of the SEIVB registration process All registration items can be found on SEIVB website under the documents tab at www.seivb.org Age Explanation Putting the correct DOB is critical for placing your daughter on the appropriate team. Please double check this before submitting This is due to the rules/regulations set by USAV

Registration Items Now that you re USAV membership is complete, you will need to go to back to seivb.org If you aren t signed in, make sure you do that. Click Registration and then hover over registration and click Step 3. Click Register at the bottom Fill out the appropriate information and click through the pages Note- this is the information we use to communicate with parents and players, so please use current/active emails and phone numbers

Registration Items When registering with SEIVB 1. Make sure the birthdate is correct so your daughter isn t placed on a team she is ineligible to be on 2. Make sure the correct school is selected, especially for current high school players, so that we don t place her on a team that violates IHSAA rules 3. Select the Team Level that she plans to tryout for at the end when you are selecting payment. There are 3 options- Elite, 13 & up, 12 & under. Don t select Elite if you don t plan to tryout for Elite. 4. It is NOT necessary to pay the SportsEngine Insurance fees.

Elite Team More commitment Some travel may be involved (extra cost) High exposure tournaments Should have a drive and desire to play at the collegiate level Should be able to play at a high, competitive level Must be able to practice a minimum of 2 times per week May require student to miss school on Friday and/or Monday (this won t happen often, and often falls during Spring Break)

Elite Team Tryouts Sunday, November 5 at Batesville Middle School (times will be determined based on numbers) Current 7-12thgrade players only (planning a 14U, 15U & 16U team) MUST be pre-registered and at 50% of the fee paid by October 28. Wear t-shirt with school name/color and athlete s name on the back Elite teams will be announced before the next tryout If your daughter makes an elite team, she will not be expected to be at tryouts If your daughter does NOT make an elite team and still wishes to play, she will need to be at the next tryout on November 12 Will be determined by a group of coaches with the board of directors making the final decision Teams will be determined based on the number of girls in each position

Tryouts Uniforms will be available to try on. When in doubt, go up a size. Players are expected to be at all tryout sessions for her respective age group Players are asked to tryout in their age group (as of July 1, 2024) Playing up and other special requests are not guaranteed We may ask players to tryout with a different age group for the 2ndtryout

Tryouts SEIVB never has the intention of cutting any players If we need to cut, players/parents will be notified via email Teams will be posted by November 24th on the website If name is not on website, please check your email. If you do not have an email from seivolleyball@gmail.com, please contact SEIVB at the email above

Season Updates Teams will have 9-10 players We will be using multiple facilities- Batesville Middle School and South Dearborn. All tryout times will be announced once registration has closed and we know how many are trying out in each age group. Practices and tournaments are typically scheduled on Sundays, but not guaranteed (preference of team and coach)

Practices The first practice will be Sunday, December 3 Will practice every week through April (as coach schedules) during a 2 hour time slot To be determined by coach after tryouts Additional practice times may be scheduled with the coach after tryouts Parents may not be in the gym during practice

Frequently Asked Questions Does my daughter need to be at both tryouts? Yes. This will give us more opportunity to understand her skill level and place her on the best team possible. What if we have a school or family commitment and can t be at both tryout sessions? If there s no way around it, please email SEIVB with the details and email the appropriate documents needed. MUST be registered by the deadline regardless.

Frequently Asked Questions My daughter plays a winter sport. Can she still play club? Yes. Most practices are on Sundays. The winter sport coaches sometimes put restrictions on the athletes, but SEIVB is understanding of girls who play other sports. Please check with your coaches if questionable.

Frequently Asked Questions How many girls from the same school can be on a team? If your daughter has just completed a high school season (9thor higher), IHSAA will only allow 3 girls from the same high school to play on the same club team (regardless of age/class). If your daughter didn t play in a high school season this year, she can play with as many from her school as the club can work out appropriately.

Frequently Asked Questions Will you try to put girls from the same school on the same club team? Girls will be placed on teams according to their ages, skill level, and position needs. We will try to group them together if possible. What if the weather is bad? Will practice be cancelled? We will try to post cancellations on the website by 9AM Sunday. If practices aren t cancelled and it is bad in your area, please use good judgment. Do not risk your health/safety or others for one practice.

Frequently Asked Questions When will I know which team our daughter is on? Teams will be posted by November 23 on the website. Please reference the website at that time. If your daughter s name is not on the website, please check your email. If you do not have an email, please contact us at seivolleyball@gmail.com. Your coach should also contact you around that date as well. What if my daughter goes to tryouts but decides it isn t for her. Can we get a refund? Yes, but not a full refund. $100 of your fee ($200 for elite) is non-refundable due to fees, insurance, and time. You can get a refund of the difference. You will also not be reimbursed for the $50 USAV membership as this was needed for insurance purposes during the tryouts. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN ONCE TEAMS HAVE BEEN POSTED!

Frequently Asked Questions If my daughter s team wants to go to extra tournaments, is that covered in the club fee? No. The fee covers 4 tournaments for the 13 & up group and 2 tournaments for the 12 & under group. If your team goes to more tournaments than that, it will be an additional cost divided equally between all members of the team. We know others interested in playing but couldn t make it tonight. How can they get this information? A copy of this presentation will be on www.seivb.org. Please direct them to the website.
