SILVER-CODE aims to train elderly people to improve their digital skills and, specially, on learning basics of coding, in order to better adapt to digital-oriented changing world and to improve their quality of life. Active aging Improvement of personal skills Favoring active participation and better understanding of the digital world Promotion of non-formal and informal learning Improved intergenerational learning and safer usage of ICT OVERVIEW

Development of a training course for coding for elderlies, delivered by professional lecturers (for theory and general supervision) and youngsters, possibly ICT students, expert on coding, acting as tutors (for the practical sessions). Creation of a Silver Coding community based on tools such as platform, forum, social network groups Peer-to-peer events where trained elders will become trainers themselves of fellow elders, introducing them to the basics of coding OBJECTIVES
