Choosing a Career Most difficult decision you will make up to this point in his/her life Self-assessment look at your interests, abilities, temperament, and values unlockmyfuture.org, 16personalities.com Learn about careers bls.gov, Occupational Outlook Handbook, and Job Shadowing Talk to teachers, counselors, friends & family to get as much info as possible to help make the right decision.
Choosing College Factors: Major, cost, size, distance from home, and admissions policies Resources: Online college catalogues, websites College Visits: Juniors are allowed 1 day. First, contact the college for a tour. Then, complete a visitation form found in the counseling suite (must return it with all signatures to Ms. Bordelon at the attendance window ). College & Career Night Oct. 8th at the Dufresne Center Register in advance by going to www.gotocollegefairs.com and provide your information online. You will then be able to print out a form with a bar code or use the app to scan when you visit with the college rep.

TOPS Students who go out-of-state and return to a Louisiana college can claim the remainder of their TOPS eligibility. Students may also start in LA, go out-of-state, then return, and claim the remainder of their TOPS. LOSFA recommends sending them your ACT/SAT scores directly after April. Code for ACT is 1595 Code for SAT is 9010.
