Work on Strategic Plan and Gap Analysis (top 3 aspects) Work on Strategic Plan and Gap Analysis (top 3 aspects) Based on the IHO Revised Strategic Plan approved at A-2 in 2020, the SEPHRC discuss how to align on, and which gaps needs to be reduced: Goal 1: Continuous learning in the development of the S-100 implementation Goal 2: Continuous increase in the number of users who require hydrographic data beyond its use for safety in navigation Goal 3: Participating in IHO and other international initiatives, sometimes seen as an IHO goal, and some overlaps with goal 2 IRCC13 VTC, 23 25 June, 2021
Important Findings (RHC top 3 challenges) Important Findings (RHC top 3 challenges) The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the HRC to arrange all meetings as VTC since march 2020. Budget reallocation due to navies prioritization, has forced member states to rethink their use. Communication problems between state members are persistent. The main cause is the lack of update of contact lists when hand-over / take-over of jobs and positions occur.
