See Galatians 6: 1 10 We must serve OTHERS instead of self! Notice the example of Jesus: he died for ALL, not to gain honor to Himself! (Psalm 69:9) Though often (and rightly) used to show the profitability of the O.T., keep verse 4 in context: it shows us the examples of helping others obey God! Verses 5 7 give us commandment, viz. BE UNITED IN YOUR MIND AS YOU SERVE ONE ANOTHER AND THEREFORE GOD!
Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy: Psalm 18:49 Deuteronomy 32:43 Psalm 117: 1 2 Isaiah 11: 1; 10 Therefore: Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
You are FULL OF GOODNESS You are FULL OF KNOWLEDGE You ADMONISH ONE ANOTHER! Paul s preaching was to the Gentiles, making their souls acceptable to God. Paul refused to brag on his work among the Gentiles. He did what God required of him and that was enough! Isaiah 52: 15 And because of this work, Paul was hindered in getting to Rome.
Paul desired to see the brethren at Rome, but needed to go to Jerusalem first with the financial support given for the poor saints. He begged their unity in prayer for safety from those who opposed God, that his service would be acceptable, and that he might arrive at Rome with joy!
