Sex Offender Data SEX OFFENDER POPULATION: Over the past 8 fiscal years, including current Fiscal Year 20, Georgia Department of Corrections has seen an average increase of 183 offenders designated as a sex offender each year, starting with 9,876 offenders in FY13 to a current population of 11,154 offenders in FY20. This population is spread throughout majority of the state prisons (33), transitional centers (14), private prisons (4), county correctional institutions (21), and secure alternative facilities (14). There are 20 facilities that offer specific programs that work to prepare an offender for release back into society, as well as 5 facilities that are specialized release sites for sex offenders that are deemed sexual predators. They are as following: Sex Offender Program Facilities (SOPP) Sexual Predator Release Facilities Arrendale State Prison (f), Augusta State Medical Prison, Autry State Prison, Baldwin State Prison, Central State Prison, Dodge State Prison, Georgia State Prison, Johnson State Prison, Lee State Prison, Macon State Prison, Pulaski State Prison (f), Rutledge State Prison, Valdosta State Prison, Walker State Prison, Washington State Prison, Wilcox State Prison Augusta State Medical Prison, Central State Prison, Dooly State Prison, Johnson State Prison, Ware State Prison Coffee Correctional Facility, Jenkins Correctional Facility, Wheeler Correctional Facility

Sex Offender Data SEX OFFENDER PREDATOR PROFILES: The Georgia Department of Corrections and Department of Community Supervision houses and manage, respectively, roughly 800 sexual predators, with a little over 300 offenders currently incarcerated. The incarcerated sexual predator population has an average growth of 30 offenders over the past 8 years, with the state housing 102 offenders in FY13 and currently, housing 309 offenders in FY20.
