  1. Get to know me Shelby carpenter

  2. sight Starting a painting , I can see it come together just as I saw it in my mind. The warm and cool colours, the texture and dimension, I know it will be just as I hoped. I can see that I have so much options of mediums, textures colours and the size of my artwork , do I want to do it on canvas , paper , cardboard or a sculpture? I see all the colourful paints and different sized brushes. In my mind I see and think about all the techniques I could use to paint my picture. I see my water colour palette or my acrylics. What one do I choose? I saw the water colour first so immediately I grab that one. I see that I need to get water, paper towels and a mat. Just looking at art or art books gets me really inspired for painting and drawing, and gives me lots of ideas for what I decide to paint. I watch the paint water get a different

  3. smell When I open up the acrylic paints I can smell them right away! The indescribable scent I know anywhere. And the whiff of the chalky scent of the watercolours when I open the lid of the palette. When I colour in my line drawing , the smell of the copic markers are so strong! But I get used to it, `cause it makes my drawing look so good. But I cant stop there, I have to get my freshly sharpened pencil crayons, I empty the sharpener and right away I smell the wood aroma fly right up to my nose. After I'm finished my

  4. touch Sculpting can get messy, and the feeling of the clay all over my hands isn't my favourite thing about art, the feeling after you wash your hands makes them really dry, but I guess its worth it because the end result of the sculpture is pretty exciting! There is allot of texture in art , the texture of the dry clay , the rough texture of the canvas, the touch of the soft and rough brushes. The layers of paper you can use to create abstract pieces, 3d masks and the perfectly pointed pencil crayons.

  5. sound As I touch my pencil to my paper, I hear the little short pencil strokes hitting the paper along with the copic markers with the wet little marks that dry in less than a second. I get my tall wooden easel ready to paint with , every time I open it up it makes a squeaky sound all the time. I cant forget that sound! The squirting paint, the sound it makes from the jar is very recognizable, I also have to get the water `` psshhh `` as it goes into the jar for the water and the tear

  6. A taste into my artistic dream I really enjoy art, it is really relaxing and is a big hobby of mine. People have always appreciate my artwork , and more specifically when I'm older my dream would to be a fashion designer or makeup artist. I have been interested in fashion a lot recently because to me fashion is a mix of style and art. Its not just about having a shirt and jeans in my opinion, in my designs, I like to incorporate lots of colour or also sometimes really monochromatic colours. Since I love an appreciate art so much , I was always more of a visual leaner. It would be so awesome if my art futur and dream can get better and better by practice and time, and soon see my fashions in stores or makeup artistry put out in to the community or even better , world wide. Just from being in fashion design classes in riverside I am getting more opportunities to get my fashion
