Importance of Affiliation with the Network 1. 2. Common language, goals, shared interests and purpose 3. Belong to professional organization where we learn from one another, and seek to accomplish some clearly defined measurable outcomes 4. Ensure clear, consistent, convincing use of materials and continuity with network affiliated CSPs 5. Affiliation with NBPTS resources, including NB Connect and PL Materials 6. Opportunities for teacher leadership throughout the state 7. Give back to the profession Network provides structure to the work

Network Statistics 1. NM is 21st in the nation for total number of NBCTs 2. NM is 12th in the nation for percentage of NBCTs to teacher population (5.3%) 3. APS is 16th in the nation for number of NBCTs 4. Top 5 districts are APS, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, Rio Rancho, Gallup/Los Alamos 5. NM is 15th in the nation for new NBCTs in 2017 with 102 (10% increase) 6. NM is 18th in the nation for renewed NBCTs in 2017 with 38 7. Total of 1152 NBCTs (60% in Title I schools)
