Purposes of the On Site Review Meet Federal compliance requirements for the Michigan Department of Education s (MDE s) oversight of programs administered by the Office of Educational Supports (OES) Encourage program coordination and collaboration Identify program development and improvement needs

OSR District Contact Responsibilities Ensure stakeholder participation in the consensus process for respective Study Guides Finalize the agenda and contact participants Finalize who will attend the district and school OSR visits
On Site Review Process: District and School Level Convene stakeholders for the district and schools Explain the purpose and process of the OSR Make copies and distribute all documents to respective stakeholder groups Allow time for individual reflection and scoring Reconvene stakeholders to prepare consensus documents district and school level
On Site Review Process 7 District: Contact collects district and school-level documentation Submits early documentation electronically to OES through Grant Electronically Monitoring System/Michigan Administrative Review System (GEMS/MARS) Reminder: no documents required for early submission will be accepted for review at the On Site Review

District and School Improvement Plans All District Continuous Improvement Plans for 2024-25 should be in MICIP by September 1, 2024.

On Site Review Day(s) Continued Exit Meeting Verbal Report (optional) Invite Stakeholders school principals, key administrators, key office personnel, district program contacts, and others invited by the district Identify Highlights and Change Required (CR) Items
On Site Review Follow-Up District receives a task in GEMS with written findings within 30 business days District responsibilities following receipt of the task: Share findings with schools and stakeholders Create a Compliance Plan, using the template in GEMS Submit Plan in GEMS within 30 business days from receipt of the task
On Site Review Follow-Up Continued Technical assistance upon request Compliance Plan approval Consultant schedules follow-up for the following year
