Sleep Testing - Before Required a fully functioning lab with large machines measuring brain waves, oxygen level, chest movement and eye movement Required patient to sleep overnight and monitored entire night Very uncomfortable and expensive Difficult to sleep Hard to use on children if needed
Sleep Testing - Now Technology has changed and made it very easy to use SMALLER, compact and can be used at home Can be used on adults and children of ANY AGE Results can be read immediately after test
CPAP CPAP -Continuous Positive Airway Pressure The CPAP machine delivers a constant flow of air through tubing and a mask and into your airway. The CPAP machine creates enough pressure in your airway to hold the tissue open, so your airway doesn't collapse. The soft, steady jet of air from the CPAP machine creates enough pressure to keep the airway open
