Small Business Bushfire Financial Counselling Support Line Darren, country town cafes Owns small cafes in towns impacted by bushfire: 35 staff, most casual 2 full time Bushfires were a real struggle: no tourists, dramatically reduced revenue No direct fire damage .ineligible for grants? Multiple loans and equipment leases: leasing firm declined his request for hardship Lender told him no hardship policy then COVID How we assisted Contacted leasing firm direct contact for client and providing assistance under hardship provisions Lender researched they were member of AFCA, complaint Eligible for Job Keeper allow him to retain some staff Eligible for $10K Boosting Cash Flow grant Information on commercial leasing and tips on how to negotiate with his landlord
