Smart Schools Bond Act: Enhancing Security and Technology Infrastructure
The Smart Schools Bond Act, passed in 2014 in New York, allocated funds for developing schools through internet connectivity, learning technology, and security features. This initiative includes steps to assess needs, engage vendors, and implement upgrades, such as network infrastructure improvements and security access control measures. Utilizing this opportunity, Brasher Falls CSD plans to enhance security by updating outdated systems, expanding camera access, and implementing sound and door locking features for emergency situations.
