CURRENT Topics o Huron system update o Core Team is completing onboarding phase by end of August o Iteration phase expected to continue through Q1 of 2022 o Planned initial go-live for Q2 2022 o Highlights: o System to system submission platform o Single platform for proposal preparation o Multiple budget iterations o Utilization of smart forms to gather proposal data for reporting/metrics o Copy/resubmission functionality for proposals o Collaboration o Transparency o UVA PI Consulting on outside grants o PIs cannot be paid directly as outside consultants on grants through other institutions in lieu of establishing a subcontract. If an institution offers an investigator a flat fee for consulting standard F&A and fringe will be applied. o Outside consulting must be approved by SOMOGC via the AOA form and must be clearly severable from their responsibilities as a UVA faculty member.
