  2. Who are we South Tees Youth Offending Service (STYOS) works across the diverse areas of Middlesbrough, Redcar and East Cleveland, covering areas of inner towns to very rural areas, taking into account the needs of 2 Councils Middlesbrough Council and Redcar and Cleveland Council

  3. Who can refer Social Care, Early Help, Stronger Families, Community Safety Teams, Schools and Education providers, Police Where it is decided that a young person is engaged in antisocial behaviour, criminal behaviour or is not engaging with education, a referral can be sent to STYOS for potential work to be undertaken Where a YP has a sibling who is open to STYOS and it is felt this sibling may go down the same path Where the Police feel a short sharp brief intervention may prevent the young person going down the OOCD route

  4. What do we offer STYOS offers a 2 level Service Level 1 is a support worker led process, the referrer completes an assessment and sends to STYOS, this young person is allocated to a case manager and a contact is put on to state no STYOS assessment necessary, but that a support worker will be timetable in up to 4/6 sessions with the worker around criminal or antisocial behaviour. Should it be at the completion of these sessions is it felt further work is required it could be the young person is stepped up Level 2, or stepped across to Early Help or Stronger Families for further work

  5. Level 2 is a whole family approach, the case is allocated to a case manager who will undertake an assessment, this is a STYOS assessment based on the ASSETPlus document. The case manager will then timetable the family for intervention sessions and signpost to relevant services where required, CaAMHS, Education, GP services, DV services, bereavement services etc. Support workers undertake individual sessions alongside the sessions undertaken by the case manager. Whatever is needed the case manager will attempt to source
