Helping people submit their data is our main job That is, at least for Robert Butler (robertb@sccwrp.org) and Paul Smith (pauls@sccwrp.org).   3. Template File: Identify Unique Records Bold field names indicate how unique records are identified. If values are repeated for the corresponding fields, these will be considered duplicates records. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  4. The Checker Application https://ceriochecker.sccwr p.org/checker/ Enter the email that you want the confirmation to go to. Select the correct agency data is being submitted for. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  5. The Checker Application Once you have signed in, you will be able to provide the data file to the checker. You may (1) use the Browse option to select the file or (2) drag and drop the excel file into page. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  6. The Checker Application Errors vs. Warnings Errors will prevent you from submitting data. To view errors, select the Errors button and check for each table name button. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  7. The Checker Application Errors vs. Warnings Warnings will flag data and let you know that the data entered is unexpected, but will pass upon Final Submit . To view warnings, select the Warnings button and check for each table name button. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

The Checker Application Drop File How the data is checked: (1) Core Errors these errors prevent data from entering the database (2) Custom Errors these errors ensure cleaner data Custom Errors are defined after core errors no longer occur. Two types of errors Errors that will prevent data from going into database tables (Core Errors) Errors that would ensure cleaner data (Custom Errors) Data must pass Core Checks before the app runs Custom Checks. Core Errors Drop File Again Custom Errors Two rounds of custom checks may occur depending on nested checks. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  9. The Checker Application Core Errors Values entered do not match a lookup list Text inside of numeric columns Duplicate records within the excel file Attempting to submit records that already exist in the database Leaving required fields empty Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  11. The Checker Application After dropping the data file, you ll be taken to the landing page with the submission info. This link provides a download file with the highlighted errors to make cleaning your data easier! Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  12. The Checker Application After dropping the data file, you ll be taken to the landing page with the submission info. Errors are red and warnings are yellow. Clicking on the cell will give the same error message as the checker app. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  13. Critical Errors A critical error means that there is bug in the code and the app has crashed. If this happens, we will receive an automatic email notification. Even though we are notified, it is still advised that you send us an email with the file attempted for submission. SCCWRP will get back to you so we can get the data submitted with no issue. Send/forward the email cerio-im@sccwrp.org along with the data file. As we resolve this, feel free to work on submitting other data files. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  14. Final Submission When the data is ready for submission, a green Final Submit button will appear. Be sure to check out any warnings, double check the data before submitting, and then hit the Final Submit button. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project

  15. Email Confirmation You will receive an email confirmation of the data loaded. A copy of the cleaned data file submitted to the database will also be provided with the email for your records. Southern California Coastal Water Research Project
