Southern University Law Center Affordable Learning Initiative aims to address the rising textbook costs through digital solutions like e-Textbooks. The non-OER model adopted by University of California, Davis ensures equitable access to educational resources. The SULC e-Textbook Initiative collaborates with key vendors for cost-effective solutions. Publishers offer e-Textbooks with printing capabilities and enhancements for disabled users, along with technical support. Various platforms like West Academic, Wolters Kluwer, Vandeplas Publishing, and LexisNexis provide searchable resources and study aids. The final proposal includes a flat fee to cover expenses for first-year law students.
