The 45thFoundation Day Special Foundation day Calendar March-to-March; on Photography for Education; Artist: Prakash Kadam, a student of IDOL Haldi-kunkavache rang: A collection of articles contributed by the colleagues at IDOL on their real life experiences; Many of them are writing first time in their life; after browsing through its 54 pages which cover some 42 articles it achieves its goal of reaching out to women, whether they are rural or urban, whether working or studying. Authors of these articles have shared their varied experiences that broaden the little worlds in which women working in home and make them aware of creative spaces that exist outside their routine life. Professor Dhanagare Prabodhanatmak recreation: Temporary staff, class 4 employees; Special efforts by Mrs Savita Raut, AR (Admin) Towards the Golden jubilee celebration an attempt for creating a logo; Artist: Makarand Kulkarni, an intern at IDOL An objective method in identifying the best performing employees (temporary and permanent, at all cadres); Felicitation of the ones who acquired an additional qualification during the last academic year
The 45thFoundation Day Special Gathering of IDOl family: Employees, Alumni, Course coordinators, Teachers, Course-writers, Academic advisers, Principals, Service providers including press Three accomplished persons will address the gathering: Professor Nageshwar Rao, Professor Vijay Khole and Professor Shailendra Devalankar Will be graced by the presence of three formerly Directors All (12K) qualified students have been invited for degree distribution ceremony; 150 will be felicitated. Sharing the occasion with BMC for approaching the public on TB campaign
Updates: LIFO Thank you for this learning its truly a big big help Mojesh Sandevel, Gurgaon on 19 March 2016, 6:47pm (On the on-line Sessions for Commerce students in collaboration with GOLD, Rajastani Sammelan) Study material by post (200 requests served since December 2015); During November and December, distribution windows were open from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm on working days and 10:30 am to 5:30 pm on non-working days and holidays. Availability updates are posted to website on a regular basis. Except a few like Political science for which despite our hard efforts the complete material is not ready even today, for most of the subjects the material is ready and have been delivered. Special efforts are made for sharing of SLM among the subjects where the syllabus is almost the same; Special guidance is provided to the foreign language students. Complementary study material compiled from books and OER has been made available; Guided efforts for the students to search and use self learning material that is available on-line has resulted in an excellent collection of learning resources in the subjects like IT; Copies of the text books are procured for the library and reading room facility has been extended from 8:00am to 8:00pm (generally and availed extended time on demand). The facility is available on all 365 days. IDOL s SLM for MA Hindi is recommended by Mahatma Gandhi Hindi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Wardha for their Students.
Evaluation Reforms Introduced 20% credit for internal evaluation; implemented in the true spirit, learners performance on each Session is tracked; Unique features: ST certification, encouragement for collaborative learning, facilitated in distance mode; Maybe the first time in India. Mode of interaction: LMS, Email, Push and Pull SMS, e- forums and groups; also, responses through the social networking sites Group passing criteria is relaxed; Individual subject passing (40% min marks) at par with the rules applied to the face-to-face learners; Ready to employ the same for all the students of IDOL
Teaching-learning Reforms On line lectures for MSc Mathematics; Good response from our students from coastal places Regular meetings with the Students, Teachers, PCP center coordinators and Principals, Coordination through the students committees; availability of IDOL lab for any of our learners whenever required; Availability of Vidyut Netbooks on demand Training the teachers for creating the e-learning resources Thus spake the playright, SLM workshop, OER Week, Invited talks: Professor Sharma, Professor Basu, Dr Amte Collaborations with Ajivasan, Thomas Cook, Maharogi Seva Samiti, Other University Departments and Colleges, Fire-n-Safty institute so on and so forth 2500 students inquiries are served through email; students and parents have conveyed satisfaction for the prompt solutions, confidence that has been developed for a direct dialogue with the authority; Assurance for maintaining confidentiality; Documentation of activity log and aid in performance evaluation
