  4. This course cover the stages of the business research processes, as well as the collection and analysis of data in an actual research project. A variety of methods will be employed, both quantitative and qualitative, which may be applied to gathering and interpreting data for a specific problem. The ethical issues that arise during the research process will also be addressed. In addition, this course seeks to improve students critical thinking problem solving skills and also using computer based programs (SPSS,Excel,etc) to analyze the research data.

  5. First 3 weeks... The nature of business research, formulating the research topic Critical reviewing the literature& research philosophies and approaches How to prepare a scientific paper: rules,styles and programs

  6. Then in 4th week We will discuss the computer based programs (SPSS,excel,etc.)

  7. The following weeks... Formulating the research design Negotiating access & research ethics Sample Designs and Sampling Procedures Collecting data using secondary data Collecting data: primary data through observation& interviews Collecting data: primary data using questionaires Data analysis techniques Data analysis techniques Presentations of the term papers Presentations of the term papers

  8. Term paper (%25) Group size: 1 to 4 students. (group or individual, no matter!) Submit the group members list and the main article to the research assistant of the lecture that you are going to prepare a topic as a term project :16 March 2018 If you can not find a topic with your efforts, please contact with the research assistants or professor of the lecture before the last date of the submission! Do the critical literature review of the subject and identify research philosophies and approaches. In literacy part, please examine at least 10 current thesis in Turkey and 15 Turkish and English articles related to you research paper. (totally at least 25 references should be included in your paper in the right citing format) Formulating the research design according to the processes and rules including in APA writing format. Then follow the proper sampling techniques and reach 100 respondents for survey based papers and 20 people for interviews. Analyze the results based on the techniques you learnt through the lecture: provide demographics profile and related describtive statistical analysis. Prepare a report in word format and submit this file (hard & soft copy) and all surveys and interview papers submitted to the assigned Research Assistant till: 27 April, 2018.
