Committee Composition Am McGill Chabad at McGill Hillel McGill Independent Jewish Voices McGill Israel on Campus Jewish Studies Students Association Representative from the Board of Directors Representative from Legislative Council
Main Goals A functional and comprehensive definition of anti- Semitism The history of anti-Semitism in North America, Quebec, and McGill Sephardic and Mizrahi Jews, Jews of Colour Sensitizing the larger McGill community to anti- Semitism Mechanism for follow-up and implementation
Recommendations The Special Committee be renewed for the academic year of 2018- 2019 Meet a minimum of twice per semester, but may meet more often if necessary SSMU adopt the working definition of anti-Semitism The VP University Affairs be mandated under their portfolio to implement the following recommendations Hiring a special researcher to research campus anti-Semitism Organize open workshops to educate McGill students on issues relevant to anti-Semitism
Recommendations cont. The VP University Affairs be mandated to advocate to the administration for the implementation of recommendations such as including anti-Semitism in Race Projects workshops May training for new SSMU Executives include a mandatory session on anti-Semitism
