  2. School Games Outcomes ( 3 days per week ,50 schools) 1).Maintaining school engagement and supporting schools to continue to prioritise and deliver 60 Active Minutes for every child. 2). To identify and have provision that targets young people who have been most negatively impacted by COVID-19 (those particularly from low socio-economic areas, BAME, SEND etc). 3) To have a continued focus on secondary school engagement particularly with a focus to support those young people who have just transitioned into year 7. 4). To ensure that your local offer provides opportunities for young people to take on leadership and volunteer roles. 5). To ensure Physical Activity and competition provision supports young people s wider development including their ability to re-socialise, supports their psychological and physiological fitness

  4. Competitions Open Primary and Secondary Cross Country The Cross Country should be at least 3 races ran over a 5 week block anytime between now and the date below. Information for this event has been sent out but please get in touch if you need it resending or if there is any additional support that I can give you. Closing Date for Results Friday 26thMarch 2021 Please email trowell@suacademy.co.uk to enter or for more information.

  5. Dance Recruitment Teams will qualify for the County final via an audition process. There will be no Inter-School competition. In total there will be a maximum of 5 primary schools and 5 secondary competing in the County final. Eligibility Competition 1- Key Stage 2 (Year 3-6) Mixed Competition 2- Key Stage Key Stage 3 & 4 (Year 7-11) Mixed Team Requirements Teams should be made up of a minimum of 3 dancers and a maximum of 16 dancers (single gender or mixed) from the same school in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Performance Space Routines can be performed in any suitable space, e.g. sportshall, school hall or studio (theatre is NOT required). The performance area space should be no bigger than 6.9m x 6m. Competition Format Routines can use any dance style. There is no limitation to the number of styles that are used within each routine. Routines can be inspired by musicals, music videos, television or social media but it is encouraged that choreography is not plagiarised and must be applied and adapted into original content. Routines should be between 2 and 4 minutes in duration. Teams are required to submit a short paragraph (max 150 words) detailing the inspiration and concept of the team s routine which will be used by the judges to score the categories. A teacher will need to complete the dance audition entry and declaration form (this will be sent to all schools via the School Games Organiser). A teacher will need to submit a video of the schools audition (ideally via We Transfer) by email to trowell@suacademy.co.uk The routine will be judged on the audition criteria (this will be sent to all schools via the School Games Organiser). The deadline for submissions is Friday March 19th2021 5pm The entries for both primary and secondary competition will then go through an initial judging stage to find the top 5 primary and secondary schools in the County.   6. KS1 Multi Skills Key Stage 1 Multi Skills Competition is now open! 2 Competitions one for Year 1 and one for Year 2 Mixed competition with 8 children (girls, boys or mixed) making up a team. Children can compete the 5 games in P.E lessons or clubs and record results. P.E Coordinators should then send in their 8 top scores. CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES is FRIDAY 20thNOVEMBER CLOSING DATE FOR RESULTS is FRIDAY 4THDECEMBER Email results to trowell@suacademy.co.uk Please contact me on above email if you need more information

  7. Virtual Football Children complete 3 challenges and record their results. Add scores together to make total individual score. P.E Coordinators send best 3 scores for each competition to SGO KS3 3 competitions Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9 Children complete 5 challenges and record their results.   8. Chance to Shine 'Chance to Shine' Cricket is keen for as many schools to register with their cricket programme as possible. They offer a free half term of teaching to schools on a first come first serve basis which also includes virtual teaching and coaching resources, CPD, leadership courses, personal challenges and a range of other cricket related activities.
