  2. WHAT IS SECC? The State Employee Charitable Campaign is the only statutorily authorized workplace campaign for state agency and higher education employees throughout Texas.   3. YOUR ROLE AS AN SECC COORDINATOR DISTRIBUTING campaign materials to team members or agency/university employees. EDUCATING your team or co-workers about the SECC and promoting payroll deduction giving is an easy and efficient method of giving. COORDINATING planning and hosting employee meetings. COLLECTING pledge forms and completing report envelopes. SUBMITTING reports and completed pledge forms to the local campaign manager DELIVERING payroll deduction forms to your agency/university payroll department PRESENTING incentives to donors. THANKING employees and all involved volunteer for their participation.

GETTING STARTED Review History of SECC Speak with your boss Promote the campaign Make time to meet or reach out your champions Completed a campaign coordinator training Schedule presentations Pickup your campaign materials if needed or get familiar with resources folder to locate PDF directories and fillable forms. Set a goal within your organization

  5. ASKING FOR THE DONATION Meet with staff in a group setting Webex, Zoom or Skype are excellent options Visit staff one on one A personal email or a phone call work too! Walk the Halls and Walk the Talk Share your stories of why you give Why does a person not donate to SECC? Be understanding and firm Make donations attractive with Tokens of Appreciation Help staff fill out pledge forms or guide them to donate online Be yourself and say THANKS! Set deadlines for those who aren t sure about giving Collect pledge forms

  6. POST CAMPAIGN ACTIVITIES Tabulate results Ensure all pledge forms are signed and completed correctly Report campaign results to Agency coordinator Evaluate Campaign If applicable mail payroll deduction forms to HR Department Post final campaign results Thank participants and your champions

SECC PLEDGE PAPER FORMS PAYROLL, ONE-TIME AND FUNDRAISER Important information to remember: One (1) pledge form per donor Ensure each section has been completed & signed (if payroll) Ensure all information is legible Minimum donation per charitable group is $2 Charity codes are 6 digits Ensure charity code in this year s directory Choice of up to 9 charities All payroll deduction forms must have designated charities written in. Online Giving provides the ease of going online and completing the donation process anywhere an employee has access to internet.
