Status of Korean Safety Regulation on Sleeping Child Check System
Enhancing safety regulations for children on school buses in Korea, the Korean Motor Vehicle Safety Standards have been amended to include a child confirmation alert system. This system triggers an alarm and light if the device at the back of the bus is not activated within 3 minutes of the bus engine being turned off. The aim is to prevent accidents and deaths related to children being accidentally left on school buses. The implementation and impact of these regulations are crucial for ensuring the safety of young passengers.
