Statutory Security Protocols for Voting Systems
The statutory security protocols outlined for voting systems and ePBs require each county election board to establish a security protocol containing audit trails to detect unauthorized access. The protocol must be unanimously approved and filed with the IED. Procedures for sealing, unsealing, and documenting equipment are also defined to ensure transparency and security in the election process.

HOTSPOT CPTED PROJECT EAST COLFAX
What is CPTED? Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Reduce fear and incidence of crime through five key overlapping principles Natural Access Control Ensuring entrances are visible, well-lit, and observable Clearly defining entryways and controlling access to the site Clearly marking public walkways and paths Natural Surveillance Visible surveillance systems to deter crime Maintaining trimmed trees, bushes, etc., to be able to maximize visibility of property Territorial Reinforcement Expressing ownership of property, such as fencing, signs, landscaping, etc.. Maintenance Keep property looking nice Social Management Neighborhood watch programs
Problem Statement Data shows that the East Colfax neighborhood is persistently one of the most dangerous neighborhoods in the State of Colorado It is the largest identified hot spot in Denver Businesses and homeowners have seen increasing rates of theft and burglary These property crimes are adversely affecting the quality of life of residents and the ability of businesses to engage in commerce.
Proposed Solution Using the CPTED methods to combat crime in the East Colfax Area This plan includes: Providing commercial and residential properties with security reinforcement tools, such as protective film on windows, locks and 4 screws for doors; alarms, cameras, and floodlights
Security Reinforcement Door Reinforcement Lock 3 door stopper Defender Security Door Lock Review & Install *High Security on a Budget* - YouTube Protective film for windows BDF S8MC considered the top of the line for window security Breaking and Entering Window Film Demonstration, 8 mil, GPS in Orlando, FL YouTube 1:55 window without the BDF S8MC film is broken into 2:55 window with BDF S8MC film is attempted to be broken into Larger 4 Screws These screws will increase the stability against exterior doors from kicking-through or ramming attempts Get longer door screws! Here's why. - YouTube
Proposed Area of Implementation 14th Ave. to 16th Ave. from Quebec to Yosemite
Alarms, Cameras, and Floodlights Window Break Alarms Sensing the vibration, these alarms go off whenever an intruder is attempting to commit a crime Floodlight Cameras Intruders are less likely to commit crime if they are on camera and in the spotlight Ring Cameras For residential properties, a Ring camera for an exterior door is just another tool to maintain visual and keep a peace of mind
Access Control & Parking Improvements Parking Stoppers These rubber or concrete stoppers prevent vehicles from pulling or backing too far into parking spots and help to create a more orderly parking area in businesses. Fencing Fencing, even four foot, creates barriers to access and controls where and how people can access a property. By funneling people to ingress and egress points we can strategically use cameras and lights to help prevent unauthorized access.
Public Art and Paint Public Art Public Art provides an improved aesthetic for the neighborhood and has been shown to help decrease property crime in areas. Paint Paint also helps in improve both buildings and parking areas.
