Regional Plan Part 2 Yet to receive a document with feedback, but state verbally provided feedback on 9/10 Feedback: Great job overall, nothing that the state is requiring us to change, but they provided recommendations Strengths: o Good analysis, feasible strategies, significant research and justification o Good focus on gender equity and benefits to disinvested communities Recommendations: o Spell out California Jobs First o Regional Investment Initiative instead of CERF o Move strategies to end of target sector sections o Strengthen alignment with state strategies o Narrow in on transportation & logistics by adding successful examples of guaranteed training programs o Enhance measures for integrating disinvested communities in workforce development along educational institutions
Regional Plan Part 2 (cont'd) Writing team and designer are working on tables to clearly spell out the strategies Incorporating State recommendations Financial Strategy Lead is meeting with Table Partner Leads to assist in strategy development o How do we keep industry in LA County? Equity Criteria for CJF Projects Proposal Criteria for Projects: - State has released draft criteria for Implementation o Applications for Implementation funding need letter of support from Collaborative o Collaborative can develop own criteria for letter of support Recommendations such as The Equity Working Group of CBO Leaders can be integrated in criteria to receive Letter of Support - State has released 'suggested' criteria for Catalyst o Each collaborative has final say in determining Catalyst funding criteria Recommendations such as The Equity Working Group of CBO Leaders can be integrated in criteria to grade Catalyst projects
Equity & Accountability Framework - Proposes the establishment of an Equity Council Subcommittee and an Accountability & Impact Subcommittee Calls to ensure Equitable Outreach across SPAs and Technical Assistance for Catalyst and Implementation Projects -
