STEM skills are present in almost every career, whether directly or indirectly. STEM skills include: Problem Solving: STEM requires breaking problems into small steps and think of multiple solutions. Creativity: In STEM mistakes and failed attempts are a good thing! Sometime solving problems means coming up with creative answers! Inquiry Skills: Asking questions, proposing ideas, generating and testing solutions, and making decisions are active ways to solve STEM problems through inquiry-based thinking. Engineering Design Thinking: This is the STEM process to help identify, research, build prototypes, test, redesign, and further iterate or change a design to solve problems. Critical Thinking: Effective STEM learning requires an understanding of how to analyze information, evaluate designs, reflect on thinking and combine ideas. Collaboration: STEM is teamwork!
