
Strategic Economic Development Planning and Engagement for Local Economic Prosperity
Independent nonprofit CREC provides innovative economic strategies to understand and support local economic forces. Managing networks and collaborations, including the SEDE Forum, CREC aims to align state and regional economic development efforts for job creation and prosperity. A 24-month EDA-funded project focuses on promoting alignment across organizations for coordinated and effective economic development strategies, emphasizing research, education, and technical assistance to improve investment coordination, industry clustering, and tool utilization for economic recovery and job growth.

Among its networks, CREC manages the State Economic Development Executives (SEDE) Network Forum for state economic development and commerce agency CEOs, executive directors, commissioners and deputies Designed to exchange information, learn from one another, and advance the practice and impact of economic development across the nation

CREC is engaging several national networks to reach key stakeholders AMCC (American Manufacturing Communities Collaborative) SIDO (state international trade leaders) NADO (economic development district leaders) State Economic Development Executives (SEDE) network to participate in organizing the applied research, developing and deploying educational materials, and providing technical assistance to states and regions.
