Strategic Planning for Future Success at UTEP
The 2030 strategic plan at UTEP involves innovative approaches such as SWOT analysis, aspiration, and alternative futures framework. The planning team aims to generate potential initiatives, explore and vet them through campus-wide charrettes, refine strategic initiatives based on feedback, and plan for production and dissemination through various channels. Faculty, staff, students, alumni, and community stakeholders play crucial roles in this collaborative process towards a successful future.

Generate Potential Initiatives Ways to advance toward alternative futures Existing initiatives that spread to other units and/or increased New ideas Please provide ideas to committee!! Consolidate and refine ideas Initial impact assessment (e.g., enrollment, student success, research/scholarship, institutional resources, and/or regional development) Have 2-3 potential initiatives for each alternative future
Explore and Vet Potential Initiatives Campus-wide Charrettes to gather feedback on potential initiatives Ideas for improving Potential risks or unintended consequences Ways campus community can contribute Faculty, staff and student participation is vital Attend Charrette sponsored by the Faculty Senate provide feedback to planning committee members provide feedback via website
